The Longest Day® is the summer solstice, and it’s also a day to participate in fundraising activities to fight against Alzheimer’s.
On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world came together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice. Together, they used their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
In previous years, the Guardian Jacksonville team has participated in activities like the Alzheimer’s Walk and golf tournaments to help fundraise for the Alzheimer’s Association. This year, for the first time, Guardian Jacksonville participated as a team with our own fundraising page. On June 21, we took part in a variety of events to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association, including T-shirt sales, raffles, and in-house massage appointments followed by a potluck. Through these events, we raised $707 to donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.
We are still working toward meeting our fundraising goal of $1,000. From now through August, you can help us get there by visiting http://act.alz.org/site/TR/LongestDay2019/TheLongestDay?px=16154049&pg=personal&fr_id=11896 and donating. Thank you!
