Fall is finally here – accompanied by pumpkins, cooler temperatures and, unfortunately, flu season. Each year, cases of influenza start to rise in October and peak between December and February. Influenza is a serious respiratory virus, which can also develop into pneumonia, sinusitis, bronchitis and may even cause death. To reduce your chance of catching the flu, the CDC recommends getting the flu vaccine.
This year, Guardian Pharmacy of Jacksonville launched a new flu clinic service for our community partners. Our nurses are now onsite to administer the flu vaccine, making it very easy for residents to get vaccinated. If you would like to have an onsite flu clinic this year, please contact your account manager.
