Guardian Pharmacy of SWFL welcomed Lori Gardow, DFA as its newest director of finance and administration last November.
Born in Petoskey, Mich., and raised in Eau Claire, Wis., Lori spent most of her life in the chilly Midwest until leaving the snow for sunny Florida.
Lori attended University of Wisconsin and Normandale Community College, where she graduated with an MIS degree, specializing in IT, financial accounting, and small business management. She has completed countless continuing education courses in risk management, maximizing profit, human resources, and team building. She entered the professional arena as an assistant to the Burroughs plant manager, where she gained experience in accounting, engineering and operations. Before joining the Guardian family, Lori spent a majority of her career in medical practice management, working with private practices of various specialties as a practice administrator. In this role she was a liaison to the Board of Directors and oversaw all financial accounting, operations management, EHR implementation, training and support, and human resource and benefits administration.
In her free time, Lori volunteers with the Harry Chapin Food Bank at drive thru food distribution centers, and enjoys playing music, boating, motorcycles and being involved with the South Gulf Cove Yacht Club.
Lori is a well-rounded individual, eager to learn about the pharmacy industry and hopes to add value to the SWFL team.
