On October 18, several Guardian SEFL employees participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Miami, Florida. The race is a public event that observes and honors breast cancer survivors and those whom have lost their fight to the disease. The race also plays an active part in raising funds for research, education, prevention, support and treatment.
In 2005, Charmaine Munnings of Guardian SEFL initiated our team, “Hope Driven,” after the passing of her friend to breast cancer. Since then, several other employees have participated in the race, including Joyanne Cadet who walks in honor of her friend, a recent survivor.
This year team “Hope Driven” showed support for breast cancer by raising $620 in donations and participating in the walk.
