Alan Traster RPh, President of Guardian SEFL, represented long-term care pharmacies at an Emergency Preparedness roundtable for Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities on September 28, 2017.
The event was sponsored by state representative Emily Slosberg.
Other attendees included State Representative Lori Berman, Congresswoman Lois Frankel, representatives from the Agency of Healthcare Administration, AMR and the Florida Health Care Association.
The roundtable discussed Florida’s nursing centers and the unique level of care required for residents during natural disasters. Also, ideas for proposed legislation and the rules to equipping nursing centers with generators were discussed.
