Guardian Pharmacy of Southwest Florida was fortunate to help build two houses with Habitat for Humanity this year. The Habitat for Humanity organization is a cornerstone in our county for providing resources to those in need. Their volunteers coordinate with us and teach us how to help build the house in various steps. On the first house, we spent the entire day building and framing the inside walls. This included nailing the wall frames together, lifting them into place, leveling them and securing each wall throughout the house. Additionally, the team helped place the windows once the walls were erected.
The experience was certainly uplifting and has given the team a feeling of lasting joy. We hope to continue seeking volunteer opportunities such as this one moving forward. We believe it is important to give back to our community and help those in need.
