Tis The Season…
It’s always a blessing to be able to help others, especially around the holiday season. It’s also very heartwarming when your efforts are appreciated. The team at Guardian Pharmacy SEFL recently experienced this sense of fulfillment after receiving a note from Donna Lee Minott, community engagement manager at Broward Partnership, a comprehensive homeless services provider. Donna welcomed us warmly when we volunteered and thanked us for helping the Broward Partnership serve the homeless the day before Thanksgiving.
Guardian Pharmacy SEFL’s Landia Valdez, supervisor of Data Entry, coordinated with Broward Partnership to organize this opportunity to help those in need over the holiday season. Several Guardian Pharmacy SEFL employees volunteered to serve hot meals and pass out special Blessing Bags, which were pre-assembled by our team.
While our team worked mostly with Broward Partnership to serve the homeless, our efforts didn’t stop there. Following our volunteer event, we took the remaining Blessing Bags to a southern part of Miami known as ‘Over Town’ where we distributed them to the homeless in the area.
Volunteers included: Valdassah Bethel, Landia Luc-Alexandria, Carla Clark, Samaiyah Lloyd, Laura Rodriguez, Rachelle Ferra, Landia Valdez, Charmaine Munnings and more
Our team is grateful to be able to support members of the community and work with organizations like Broward Partnership.
